the ability to view 3D terrain data as well as drape other data such as
LandXML or raster data over the terrain. You can also orbit the 3D data
and set up different camera locations from which to view it.
Civil
Engineering Analysis
Civil
engineering analysis tools enable operations such as calculating the elevation
difference between two surfaces, calculating the cut/fill volume between
two surfaces, determining the view from a given point in a given direction,
and modeling floods.
Workflow
Enhancements
Enhancements
include the ability to share projects easily with other Envision users,
to customise the user interface without using the API, and to edit markup
objects that have already been written to the map.
Support
for New Data Formats
Support
for LandXML, used by surveyors, land developers, and civil engineers to
pass data from one phase of a design project to another, and digital elevation
model (DEM) data. Includes the ability to access LandXML data elements
such as points, pipes, alignments, and parcels and to display them in both
graphical and tabular form.
Reporting
The
reporting engine, a utility for generating reports based on project data,
creates reports for basic mapping and civil information. Includes style
sheets to provide templates for reports on roads, parcels, points, surface
models, and pipes.
Thematic
Mapping
Query
and thematic mapping functionality enables you to create new visualizations
based on feature attribute, object, or linked data.
Markup
and Redline
Simple,
intuitive markup functionality that can be saved as RML allows users to
digitally mark up designs and maps during analysis.
